Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State on Sunday admonished citizens of the state to stand together, irrespective of tribe and faith, in defending the state’s heritage in the wake of security challenges confronting communities in Mangu, Barkin-Ladi, Riyom, and other local government areas of the state.
Mutfwang made the call during a thanksgiving service for the immediate past Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Ayuba Abok, held at COCIN Church, Jos Jarawa.
He said, “It is time for Plateau people to unite on a common front in preserving the heritage of the state.”
According to him: “We must forget the mistakes of the past where various ethnic groups were left alone to confront calamities that befell their communities. I am confident that God will grant us victory over those who troubled us, and Plateau will prosper again.
